Duplex Filter

Advantages of the duplex strainers

During normal operations the strengths of the duplex filter is that it can be completely operated maintenance-free, except for checking the seals and cleaning of the filter element. With two filter chambers connected with a changeover valve one chamber is always in operation while a clean filter chamber is in standby mode. Duplex filters are primarily used where shutting down machines and systems are not practical or highly uneconomical, for example, in the maritime or the production industry.

Simplex filters are the basic model of filtration technology. They have a compact design and are extremely easy to clean. The simplex strainers are preferably used where systems or the filter can be switched off with additional shut-off devices. They serve to protect the system parts from soiling and siltation.

Coalescing filter

In the oil and gas industry, the petrochemical industry and the oil refinery, liquid / gas coalescer filter are frequently used to remove liquids from gases such as seal gas, fuel gas, heating and cooling gas, injection gas as well as numerous technical gases. The coalescing filter element from BOLL & KIRCH consists of two layers, which fulfil different tasks: The first layer separates solids that may still be in the gas stream. In the second layer, liquid droplets are separated into a special tissue by coalescing the droplets.
